As in years past, the actors were shot by famed photographer Bruce Weber, and on July 11, A&F will celebrate this year's Stars on the Rise with an event at its Los Angeles Grove location.
"Identifying talent during the early stages of their careers has been something we have always been excited to be a part of," said Mike Jeffries, Chairman and CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch. "We enjoyed working with these 11 actors selected for this campaign and look forward to watching them flourish in their careers." Past A&F Stars on the Rise include such acting and musical talents as Taylor Swift, Channing Tatum, Ashton Kutcher and Penn Badgley.
The Abercrombie & Fitch Back-to-School line assortment premieres July 13 in stores and online, and features the all-new A&F Jeans Collection with a greater range of fits, washes and techniques. There is also a new online and in-store shopping experience which will help consumers discover the perfect fit and wash.
In conjunction with the Back-to-School launch, A&F is releasing a new smartphone app available in the Apple App Store. One of the app's features is "6 Degrees of Stars on the Rise", an interactive experience that lets users create a story connecting them with their favorite Star on the Rise by pulling in their Facebook data and creating an entertaining, shareable story. The app also allows users to become a "Star on the Rise" by putting a picture of their face on the body of a Star on the Rise.
A&F will also launch its sweepstakes starting July 26, "Everyone Instantly Wins." Customers who visit participating A&F locations Friday - Sunday until September 1, plus Labor Day, and enter the sweepstakes, will win Jeans or a promotional gift card. "Stars on the Rise is a concept we frequently did in the early 2000's in our Quarterly magazines. We are excited to bring back the concept with new technology that makes the campaign more fun, engaging and interactive," said Jeffries.
