MIAMI, May 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Aeropost, the leader in Latin American eCommerce services, today announced the appointment of eCommerce and marketing leaders Greg Murtagh, Nicolas Maslowski and Bobby Frank to its executive team. Aeropost enables U.S. retailers to broaden their reach to capitalize on the spending power of Latin American and Caribbean shoppers without the challenges and risk typically associated with selling internationally.
Greg Murtagh, a nationally recognized media industry leader specializing in eCommerce and digital media, joins Aeropost's Board of Directors. Murtagh is currently Founder and CEO of Seismic Group, a retail eCommerce and media consultancy based in Tampa, Florida. He's held several senior positions in both sales and brand marketing in the CPG industry, including positions at Procter & Gamble and Dial Corp. In 1998, Murtagh launched his own digital agency and was one of the first to build websites for national CPG brands and mass retailers during the dot-com boom. In 2004, he founded St. Petersburg, Florida-based Triad Retail Media, the company widely credited for creating the eCommerce media business that delivers contextual and data-targeted brand advertising via major retail eCommerce sites. Murtagh is a recipient of Advertising Age's prestigious "Media Maven" award and has been recognized by Inc. Magazine as founder of one of America's fastest-growing companies.
Nicolas Maslowski joins Aeropost as CMO, where he'll oversee the company's branding and marketing strategy. He brings a strong marketing and business background driven by a deep understanding of Latin America, where he successfully led global brands for the past 10 years. Prior to Aeropost, Maslowski worked as CMO of Ron Santa Teresa, a luxury spirits brand founded in 1796. During his tenure at Ron Santa Teresa he held roles in Brand Management, Strategic Planning and Business Development and was pivotal to the company's expansion into the U.S. and European markets. He previously worked for Procter & Gamble, enhancing the operations and marketing sectors of the company's business throughout the Latin American region.
Bobby Frank is well respected in the industry and brings a wealth of experience as a leader in the development of cross border eCommerce. He joins Aeropost as SVP of Business Development, where he will be responsible for the attainment of U.S. merchants across the company's multiple eCommerce solutions. Frank's career has predominantly focused on entrepreneurial ventures in technology, marketing, eCommerce and media. Most recently, Frank was the CEO of BorderJump, a services and logistics company that enables small- and medium-sized U.S. retailers to sell seamlessly to international buyers. In early 2013, he opened BorderJump Local in Japan, a new service designed to build and manage localized online marketplace storefronts for large U.S. retailers. Prior to BorderJump, Frank founded and operated a marketing firm, Frank/Best International, which specialized in providing marketing services to foreign-based multinational companies with strong presence in the U.S. He has extensive knowledge of the operational, marketing, logistics and localization challenges faced by retailers and brands as they expand globally.
"We're excited to have Greg, Nicolas and Bobby join our team as we solidify our position as the leading eCommerce services company in Latin America and the Caribbean, and accelerate our deployment of the only vertically integrated LATAM eCommerce marketplace," said Fredjoseph Goldner, CEO of Aeropost.
Aeropost is funded by North Bridge Growth Equity, a Boston-based firm with $3.8 billion under management. Mike Pehl, managing partner at North Bridge Growth Equity adds, "We've known Greg for many years and have seen him in action, building strong revenue growth at the business he founded, Triad Retail Media.
