SOUTHLAKE, Texas, July 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Aerolineas Argentinas – Argentina's largest airline – has renewed its long-term strategic partnership with Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), achieving the carrier's objective to move forward with innovative, next-generation technologies that will facilitate expansion of its domestic and global footprint. The agreement extends full content availability in Sabre's global distribution system (GDS) and will enable Aerolineas to leverage the latest SabreSonic passenger services system (PSS) innovation to expand shopping and payment capabilities, improve airport operations and enhance the end-to-end traveler experience.
"Aerolineas is looking to streamline and find efficiencies that give our airline a competitive advantage and benefit our customer community to reach our main goal of sustainable growth," said Juan Valverde, Chief Planning Officer for Aerolineas Argentinas. "We know that introducing new products and services focused on personalization and quality customer experiences is part of that equation. Sabre continues to be the best technology partner to help us accomplish our strategy and distribute our content to travel agents worldwide."
Sabre's investment in retailing, distribution and fulfillment technologies are complementary to Aerolineas' near and long-term business objectives of e-Commerce innovation, expanded shopping and payments capabilities and personalization. Aerolineas will also be one of the first to leverage Sabre's new Digital Connect layer, which provides APIs to enable speed to market and flexibility. This solution will allow the carrier to control their brand experience across channels while connecting seamlessly to the SabreSonic PSS. Sabre's latest innovation will give Aerolineas the agility to deliver a consistent yet personalized experience across the traveler journey.
"Sabre has worked side by side with Aerolineas for more than two decades. Our relationship is extensive, as is our understanding of their business and the markets in which they operate," said Ana Maria Escobar, vice president and regional general manager, Sabre Airline Solutions, Latin America. "We are proud to maintain this marquee airline customer and look forward to continued collaboration between our teams as we implement new services and innovation that drive growth and increased revenue opportunities for our colleagues in Argentina."
