HONG KONG, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- AEON, the settlement layer built for the agentic economy, has expanded its local payment infrastructure into Chile with support for bank transfer payments in Chilean Pesos (CLP). The new integration allows users to shop at participating merchants, enter the amount in CLP, select their preferred crypto asset and wallet, and complete the payment through AEON Pay. AEON then handles the crypto-to-fiat conversion and initiates a local bank transfer to the merchant, combining the flexibility of crypto with the familiarity of Chilean mobile and online banking.

Direct bank transfers account for around 15% of online purchases, with consumers relying on established institutions such as Banco de Chile, Santander, and BancoEstado.
