AEM Issues Key Vote Alert On Bipartisan Senate Compromise
WASHINGTON, Oct. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), representing more than 900 companies in the off-road equipment manufacturing industry, issued a key vote alert strongly urging all Members of the House of Representatives to vote YES to pass the bipartisan Senate compromise to reopen the Federal Government and raise the debt ceiling when the Speaker brings the bill to the House floor later today.
"Without a vote to raise the debt ceiling and reopen the government, Congress is seriously endangering the U.S. economy and the health of the manufacturing sector," said Anne Forristall Luke, AEM Vice President of Political and Public Affairs. "I urge every Member of Congress to stop gambling with our future, and take action to raise the federal debt limit and enable the United States to meet its financial obligations."
AEM will score this bill as a key vote.
