"I am pleased to see the House Transportation Committee work together to pass this bill in order to strengthen our national infrastructure system. Investing and improving our nation's infrastructure is vitally important to American manufacturers and their ability to remain competitive on a global scale.
"I would specifically like to thank Transportation Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-PA) for his invaluable leadership bringing this bill through Committee. I hope the example set by all the Committee Members working together to get this important legislation done will lay the groundwork for future bipartisan agreements on transportation bills.
