After years of searching for organizations to help increase her independence, Michelle couldn't seem to find anyone or any organization to assist her in purchasing an Air Hawk Portable Wheelchair, even though this wheelchair would drastically improve her mobility and life. This all changed when she was fortunate enough to come across the AID Foundation on Facebook. When contacting the AID Foundation, she was extremely pleased to find an organization that was readily available to assist her. The AID Foundation, being exceptionally diverse, allows individuals with any type of disability and/or special need to request assistance for any need.
The AID Foundation giving Michelle the ability to once again have her independence though this very specific wheelchair is just one of the many ways the Advocates for Individuals with Disabilities Foundation provides assistance to those who reach out to them. Unfortunately, insurance just wouldn't cover Michelle's need.
As one of the many individuals the AID Foundation is helping, Michelle Deciantis was extremely happy about her experience with the Foundation and urges others to reach out to the AID Foundation with their story and needs. "I'm so excited to gain my independence back thanks to the wheelchair the AID Foundation is providing me," states Michelle Deciantis. "The organization was extremely easy to reach out to and kept in constant contact with me throughout the entire process; it was such a wonderful experience working with them. The AID Foundation is changing my life in so many ways; I'm so grateful to the AID Foundation and humbled by the experience. I now have the ability to go further and to more places with my family and friends. Thanks to Advocates for Individuals with Disabilities Foundation, I'm now going to have a much better quality of life, and will get to enjoy all the time that I have left with my daughter, family, and friends."
