Advisor Group Announces 11th Annual W Forum to Support Professional Growth and Success of Female Financial Advisors

PHOENIX, April 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Advisor Group, one of the nation's largest networks of independent financial advisory firms, comprised of FSC Securities Corporation, Royal Alliance Associates, SagePoint Financial and Woodbury Financial Services, today announced its 11th annual W Forum, a conference designed to support the professional growth and success of female financial advisors across the spectrum of age and experience levels. The event is a cornerstone of Advisor Group's Women FORWARD initiative, a program that includes mentoring, training and networking initiatives designed to inspire today's and tomorrow's female advisors, while providing all advisors with tools to better attract, retain, and enhance their relationships with female clients. 

Over the past decade, over 3,000 female financial planning professionals have attended the W Forum. This year, the event, which will be held at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas from April 30-May 2, 2017, will include a select group of students from Texas Tech University's Personal Financial Planning degree program, who will have the opportunity to network and learn from successful female advisors at the event. This is part of Advisor Group's broader efforts to attract and prepare a diverse next generation of financial advisors. In addition to education and networking opportunities, the event will also feature keynote speakers, advisor-led workshops, and an extensive partner exhibit that allows advisors to learn about the latest investment solution innovations.

Central to each year's W Forum is Advisor Group's highly successful mentorship program in which seasoned financial advisors – both men and women - mentor junior female advisors. In 2017, there are 106 total participants in the mentorship program, including 60 mentors and 46 mentees, 33% of whom have been in the program since its inception four years ago.
