Honeywell International Inc. Analyst Notes
On June 17, 2014, Honeywell International Inc.'s (Honeywell) Resins and Chemicals business introduced Aegis H55WC - a new nylon resin designed to shield wires and cables from physical and chemical damage - that helps wire and cable manufacturers improve the electrical efficiency of their products since the thinner nylon allows more strands of conductive metal to fit inside the insulation. Matthew Capeci, Global Business Director for Honeywell Resins and Chemicals remarked, "This new resin provides wire and cable manufacturers with the critical protection they need from a resin producer they can rely on. Because we are a fully-integrated global nylon 6 producer, we can provide a stable supply to serve their operations now and for years to come." Aegis resins are also utilized in fibers and filaments for carpeting, fabrics, nets and cords; engineered plastic components for automotive, consumer and industrial applications; and films for food and protective packaging.
