SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Voice Recognition Systems, Inc. ("AVRS") (OTCQB: AVOI) announced today it is in discussions with certain firms dedicated to assisting in the commercialization of intellectual assets. "We believe it is important to explore many different avenues to determine the best method to realize the greatest return and value for our intellectual property," said Walter Geldenhuys, President and CEO of AVRS. "We plan to inform our shareholders of material arrangements."
Additionally, the Company continues its efforts to expand the patent portfolio with the Continuation-In- Part application before the United States Patent and Trademark Office ("USPTO"). The application filed in May, 2011 relates to electronic speech recognition and transcription; and, more particularly, to processes and systems for facilitating "free form" dictation, including directed dictation, constrained recognition and /or structured transcription among users having heterogeneous system protocols. The application has been docketed and assigned to an examiner. Our engineers continue to work diligently with patent counsel on current applications and ideas for future applications.
