Advanced Voice Recognition Systems, Inc. Files A Request For Rehearing Of The Board Of Patents Appeals And Interferences' Decision In The Interference
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Voice Recognition Systems, Inc. ("AVRS") (OTCBB: AVOI) filed a request for rehearing in interference proceedings before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences ("BPAI").
Interference Proceedings
On May 31, 2012 AVRS filed a request for rehearing of the BPAI's April 27, 2012 decision. A complete copy of the filing can be found at Request for Rehearing on the Company's website.
Mr. Geldenhuys stated, "We had various options under consideration. We chose to request a rehearing because we think the panel's conclusion was inconsistent with its own findings of facts and overlooked or misapprehended disclosures raised throughout the proceeding."
As previously reported, the Company's four U.S Patents issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office are unaffected by the decision of the BPAI. AVRS has not lost any of its patents, or the enforceability of those patents.
New Website
On May 18, 2012, AVRS launched a new website design, www.avrsys.com. It had been nearly three years since the first site was launched. Visitors to the new design will find a clean and updated look while providing shareholders central access to AVRS stock quotes as well as news releases and SEC filings.
