Advanced Scientific Concepts Announces the Next Version of the Peregrine 3D Flash LIDAR Product Line
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, Jan. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - Advanced Scientific Concepts LLC. (ASC), the leading supplier of 3D Flash LIDAR Vision Systems for terrestrial, aerial and space applications, proudly announces the release of the next version of their Peregrine 3D Flash LIDAR camera product line - Peregrine3D V2. The revamped product line now provides customers with two camera body versions to best suit their intended application and a price reduction of between 20 - 30%.
Weighing in at 1 pound (445 grams) the Peregrine camera model was designed for low power operations and is a non-scanning unit (with no moving parts), making it ideal for smaller systems and applications where motion distortion is an issue. The product line now features two camera body options: a more affordable model with a 128x32 32DL sensor and 3mJ 1570nm CLASS 1 laser, and a longer range model that contains a 128x32 sensor and 6mJ 1570nm CLASS 1 laser. The system can also be customized with four (4) interchangeable Field of View (FOV) kits (available in 15, 30, 45 and 60 degree), with each kit consisting of a lens and diffuser.
"The Peregrine continues to make important strides in innovation, enabling the highest level of functionality in a small, compact package," said James Curriden, President of ASC LLC. "With the recent price reduction, it is now more affordable and customizable for deployment in an even wider range of products and scenarios."
The new list prices for the camera bodies, FOV kits and complete systems (camera body + FOV kit) have been reduced between 20 - 30%, a significant price decrease without the loss of any of the functionality ASC cameras have become known for. The Peregrine 3D product line continues to complement ASC's powerful TigerCub 3D vision systems for imaging longer ranges with more pixels, and can synchronize up to 8 cameras simultaneously on a per frame basis.
ASC will be demonstrating the Peregrine3D V2 at SPIE Photonics West, January 31 - February 2, 2017, booth #4314. For more information, please visit: http://www.asc3d.com to learn about ASC's entire line of 3D Flash LIDAR camera systems.
