Advanced Renewable Energy Installed at the San Mateo Library

SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The San Mateo Public Library today announced its installation of a highly efficient solar energy system that can annually reduce its energy bill by approximately $15,000, generate/save about 96,000 kilowatt hours of electricity, and reduce dangerous carbon dioxide emissions by more than 50,000 pounds. Called a Photovoltaic (PV) installation, this state-of-the-art system, uses proprietary solar modules manufactured in Delaware by Motech Americas, which will provide clean renewable energy to serve the library and benefit the community in the short- and long-term. The installation was done by Anaheim-based AAA Solar Electric. 

According to David Ngo, Sr. Vice-President of AAA Solar Electric, "This is a valuable step forward for the San Mateo community. It reflects their level of responsibility by choosing renewable solar energy to lower their utility bills, to add to the library's sustainability position, and to enhance the educational value it can deliver.
