Advanced Microgrid Solutions Names West Owens Vice President of Finance and Strategy

SAN FRANCISCO, July 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Microgrid Solutions ("AMS"), a pioneer in the energy storage services market, today announced the hiring of West Owens as Vice President of Finance and Strategy. Mr. Owens will oversee AMS's capital raising and financing strategy in his new role, and report to Chief Executive Officer Susan Kennedy and President Kelly Warner.

Owens comes to AMS with significant experience in financing renewable energy companies and assets, particularly in leading groundbreaking financial transactions.  Prior to joining AMS, Owens had a successful tenure as Vice President of Structured Finance at SolarCity, since 2011.  While there he raised over $2 billion in diversified forms of capital, including pioneering the first solar asset backed securities in the industry and helping position the company in the public markets. Owens has also held finance management roles at AES Solar and investment roles at US Renewables Group.
