Advanced ICU Care's Gian Cavallini Assumes Leadership of Industry Council
ST. LOUIS, Aug. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced ICU Care, the nation's leading provider of high-acuity telemedicine services, announced today that Gian Cavallini, the company's Vice President of Strategy and Development, has been named to chair the Industry Council of the American Telemedicine Association (ATA), the leading industry organization dedicated to telehealth.
The Industry Council represents non-hospital members of the ATA, and is one of two primary member groups within ATA. The council brings together leading corporate ATA members to monitor the development of telehealth and weigh in on issues of strategic importance to the industry. The ATA as a whole serves as a vehicle of both influence and education for its members. As chair of the Industry Council, Cavallini is responsible for leading the ATA's non-hospital membership to contribute to the overall ATA strategic plan and coordinating joint activities with the ATA's other primary member group, the Institutional Council, which is made up of hospitals and health systems.
Cavallini brings to the role almost 15 years of experience in the health care industry and has been with Advanced ICU Care for seven years. In his role with Advanced ICU Care, Cavallini is responsible for a range of critical initiatives, including the development and launch of new products, the implementation of the company's distributed care center operating model, and management of key strategic relationships.
