"We're looking forward to featuring our newest products at Intersolar this year, and demonstrating to our customers and the industry our dedication to offering the best products and services for solar power design," said Gordon Tredger, president of Advanced Energy, Solar Energy. "Our broad range of inverters, which now includes the AE 1000NX and the AE 3TL, provide the production, system design, and grid integration features needed for next generation PV power plants. We're proud to be a trusted partner to solar project stakeholders across the globe, and believe these new products will help us to build on this reputation."
AE 1000NX
The AE 1000NX is a 1-MW rated utility-scale solar inverter built to meet the needs of forward-thinking utility and commercial solar project stakeholders. AE Solar Energy designed the AE 1000NX to provide solar power plant owners with reduced cost and increased energy harvest for a lower levelized cost of energy (LCOE), as well as advanced utility interactive controls to enable more seamless grid integration. A UL-certified version of the product is expected to be generally available in Q4 2013.
To achieve the lowest LCOE, the AE 1000NX inverter includes a bipolar 1000V system topology to reduce balance of system (BoS) costs, a robust single engine and cooling system designed for less downtime and better system yield, and a combiner-level PV tie that allows system designers to reduce overall DC home run wiring costs by up to 40 percent. This can be optimized further with a turnkey PowerStation Integration Solution, comprised of a medium voltage transformer and supporting BoS that is factory assembled, tested, and accompanied by dedicated project management and engineering support.
To ensure seamless integration into the power system, the inverter also comes equipped with a full complement of flexible utility interactive controls that address a wide variety of interconnection requirements.
The AE 3TL
The AE 3TL is a reliable three-phase string inverter that can be installed in a distributed architecture throughout a solar array to save space and increase project yield for solar installers, site designers, and project developers. The AE 3TL can be applied to projects of wide ranging sizes, from small commercial rooftop to large multi-MW ground-mount systems. By offering the AE 3TL, along with its robust line of central inverters, AE Solar Energy is demonstrating its commitment to offering customers unparalleled design flexibility for the solution that best addresses their solar project needs.
The AE 3TL is UL-certified, with a CEC-rated efficiency of 98 percent and versatile data monitoring options. The product delivers key features to reduce LCOE and increase energy harvest. Its modular design ensures high reliability, superior efficiency and distributed MPPT, leading to increased uptime, higher system yields, and precise trouble-shooting and maintenance. The wide range of kW ratings allows for integration on a variety of site designs with an emphasis on design flexibility and project yield. The AE 3TL is lightweight, small and easy-to-install —which reduces shipping costs, alleviates space constraints and speeds time to system commissioning. With the AE 3TL, DC BoS equipment is displaced, which reduces overall solar PV BoS costs and total system costs for projects less than 350 kW.
In addition to exhibiting at the show, AE Solar Energy's Rob Masinter, director of product management, will present "Beyond the Inverter — The Value of Integrated Solutions," on Tuesday, July 9 from 11:20-11:45 a.m. PT, at the InterContinental Hotel, Grand Ballroom B, Level 3. Furthermore, Jeff Harrell, product manager of AE Solar Energy's NX inverters, will present "Advanced Energy's utility-scale solar inverter meets the needs of next generation solar power plants," on Wednesday, July 10, from 1:30-2:00 p.m. PT, at the Innovation & Application Stage, West hall, Level 2, Booth #8040.
AE's solar energy business delivers highly reliable solar inverters, complementary BoS products, and robust operations & maintenance (O&M) services that allow its customers to secure more solar projects and grow their business. AE Solar Energy enables utility-scale and commercial-scale solar project stakeholders to offer system owners a lower LCOE and confidence their PV system will deliver on long-term production goals. With more than 30 years of leadership in delivering innovative energy solutions, combined with a legendary reputation for customer service, AE is a trusted partner to solar project developers, EPC companies, financiers, and beneficiaries around the globe.
