SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AdRoll, the retargeting platform, today announced that it will offer more brands access to Facebook® advertising inventory through real-time bidding on Facebook Exchange (FBX). Earlier this year, AdRoll was one of a select group of Preferred Marketing Developers (PMDs) offering support for FBX, enabling a small group of AdRoll customers to retarget Facebook's 955M+ monthly active users. Today, AdRoll will begin granting all customers access to Facebook's ad inventory, which accounts for nearly 28 percent of the available US display ad impressions, according to comScore.

AdRoll customers already have access to the most complete list of ad exchanges on the web. Facebook Exchange will give advertisers even greater reach and control, enabling them to build relevant, efficient and complete retargeting campaigns using their own first party data. By combining existing ad buys with real-time Facebook inventory, advertisers can now manage all campaigns through AdRoll's easy-to-use retargeting platform with no additional integration needed. Now any brand, regardless of size, will be able to benefit from AdRoll's investment in real-time bidding (RTB) technology, which allows for precise bidding decisions based on users' anonymous browsing behavior.
"Retargeting has quickly become the killer app of display advertising because it's incredibly measurable and provides great ROI. AdRoll's mission has been to build a retargeting platform that is not only powerful and effective, but also a delight to use and implement," said Adam Berke, president of AdRoll. "With FBX, we're excited to help all of our customers improve the reach and performance of their campaigns through Facebook's massive inventory supply."
As one of the earliest companies on Facebook Exchange, AdRoll was able to quickly utilize its real-time bidding technology to launch campaigns for 60 advertisers, including brands like Room & Board, HootSuite and GoPro. On average, FBX campaigns were launched within an hour from the time creative was received, and early data shows FBX advertisers saw an average ROI of 16x.
"At Room & Board, we're continually thinking about innovative ways to approach our business, including new and creative ways to reach our potential customers," said Jill Linville, communications director at Room & Board. "We're thrilled to partner with AdRoll as one of the first companies running ads on Facebook Exchange. Through AdRoll's easy-to-use platform, we were able to get our FBX campaign up and running incredibly fast."
"We're excited to be a part of Facebook Exchange, leveraging our own site data to engage with Facebook's 955M+ monthly active users," said Lee Topar, director of online marketing at GoPro. "AdRoll's responsive customer support team and innovative platform have made it easy for us to get up and running on FBX quickly, and for us to optimize, track and adjust campaign metrics, if necessary. We're currently running a number of promotional ad campaigns on FBX, and the initial results have been very positive."
AdRoll customers serving ads on Facebook Exchange will benefit greatly from LiquidAds, AdRoll's ad product which enables advertisers to easily create personalized display ads. Early data shows that frequent creative refreshes are essential to generating optimal click-through rates on FBX. AdRoll customers also benefit from transparent pricing, expert support, unparalleled ease-of-use and powerful analytics, which enable advertisers to measure the performance of Facebook campaign impressions, clicks, conversions and more.
Last month, AdRoll was named the fastest-growing private advertising company in the country by Inc. Magazine, on the 2012 Inc. 500 list. In order to support the company's massive growth trajectory,AdRoll recently secured $15 million in a funding round led by Foundation Capital. With the new funds, AdRoll will further invest in its real-time inventory reach including on Facebook Exchange. In addition to expanding product offerings, AdRoll will grow the team into a 24,000 square-foot downtown San Francisco headquarters and open new domestic and international offices.
