ADP® Sponsors Veteran's Video Guide to Aid Transition from Soldier to Business Owner
ROSELAND, N.J., May 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- To commemorate National Military Appreciation Month, ADP® today announced its sponsorship of a video series where military veteran entrepreneurs share their expertise about the tools and resources needed to start and grow a successful business. The series, titled "Veterans Video Guide to Starting and Growing Your Business," is organized into ten segments that provide practical advice, including how to develop a business plan, marketing best practices, and ways to provide extraordinary customer service.
As a global leader in Human Capital Management (HCM), ADP is committed to giving back to veterans by offering programs and resources to help them secure post-service employment. In addition to professional development and training courses, ADP has created the Military Strong and Allies Business Resource Group (BRG) to support veterans in the communities where they work and live. Recently, ADP also collaborated with Habitat for Humanity Newark to help build a four-bedroom home for a disabled veteran in New Jersey.
"Two key ingredients for building a business are motivation and dedication," said Ed Flynn, executive vice president, worldwide sales and marketing at ADP. "I can't think of any group more motivated or dedicated than our veterans. Supporting them is not only the right thing to do, it's supporting success."
"As a veteran myself, I am excited to see ADP supporting our service men and women as they transition into new careers," said Roland Cloutier, ADP's chief security officer. "Our company is committed to helping veteran entrepreneurs in innovative, practical, and tangible ways to acquire and develop key skills while building successful businesses. The veteran community is a deep pool of talent that can make substantial positive contributions to our economy."
Our mission at ADP is to power organizations with insightful solutions that drive business success. By helping businesses, we contribute both to the growth of individuals and the economy at large. We owe it to our veterans to help create career opportunities that further develop their skills to become leaders in America's business community. Through sponsorship of the video guide series and other programs, such as supporting the American Jobs for America's Heroes campaign, ADP helps to unlock potential for service members who are transitioning into the business world.
