ADP Named to The 2012 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity® List
Company Also Ranks High for Latinos, Executive Women, and for Recruitment and Retention
ROSELAND, N.J., April 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Automatic Data Processing (ADP), a leading provider of human resource, payroll, benefits administration, and automotive dealer services, has been ranked 27th on The 2012 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity® list. A total of 587 companies participated this year, up 11 percent from last year.
This is the third year running that ADP has been recognized as a diversity leader. "Your company has earned the right to be considered a company that is superior in its ability to provide equity in opportunity. You're among the best of the best as determined by a very thorough metrics-based competition," said DiversityInc CEO Luke Visconti.
Subsets of the same metrics are also used to determine DiversityInc's specialty lists. This year, ADP also ranked third in the top ten companies for Latinos, tenth in companies for Executive Women, and tenth for Recruitment and Retention.
"We're really trying to make progress on the diversity front because we think it's the right thing to do and it makes good business sense," said Carlos Rodriguez, President and CEO of ADP. "Ultimately, an open and inclusive environment allows the best people to take the most important jobs. That's incredibly important for a successful company."
The announcement of The DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity occurred Tuesday, April 24 at a dinner in New York City. ADP will be featured throughout the year on DiversityInc.com, DiversityIncBestPractices.com and in DiversityInc magazine.
"Diversity and inclusion play major roles in how we recruit, hire and develop talented associates," said Tara Amaral, ADP's Chief Diversity Officer and Vice President of Talent Acquisition. "By treating each of our associates as unique and enabling them to grow to their full potential, ADP brings added resources to each challenge it undertakes on behalf of its clients."
To qualify for The DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity, participating companies must have more than 1,000 employees and must fill out a detailed questionnaire based completely on empirical questions about CEO commitment, human capital, internal and external communications, and supplier diversity.
