ADP Adds Marriott Vacations Worldwide to Its Growing Roster of Global HR BPO Clients
Marriott Vacations Worldwide Selects ADP to Strengthen HR Processes While Helping to Reduce Operating Costs
ROSELAND, N.J., June 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ADP ®, a leading provider of global human capital management (HCM) services, today announced that Marriott Vacations Worldwide (NYSE: VAC) has selected ADP's large market Human Resources Business Process Outsourcing (HR BPO) offering, which continues to see strong demand among companies with more than 1,000 employees globally. ADP's HR BPO offerings deliver comprehensive, integrated HR, benefits and payroll solutions to clients with higher quality service and lower costs than in-house processing. By reducing administrative burdens, ADP's HR BPO solutions also help free up clients' HR specialists so they can focus their efforts on more strategic tasks and initiatives.
ADP is managing Marriott Vacations Worldwide's core HR, payroll, time and talent management functions for the company's 9,200 employees. Marriott Vacations Worldwide selected ADP for its ability to provide a global solution and meet the necessary ramp-up time frame following the company's successful spin-off from former parent company Marriott International, Inc.
"We conducted an extensive search for a comprehensive HR outsourcing solution and feel that ADP will be a great match for not only our culture but ultimately a greater value in efficiency," said Michael E. Yonker, executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation.
In a powerful demonstration of ADP's ability to implement large organizations, the company was able to get Marriott Vacations Worldwide and more than 30 other new large clients – each with 9,000 or more employees – up and running within planned timelines. Marriott Vacations Worldwide is now using ADP's integrated HR BPO offering to help realize greater efficiencies and consistency in how it manages its HR function across its global operations.
"It's particularly gratifying to work with a company the caliber and size of Marriott Vacations Worldwide. They have been committed to the success of the project from kick-off to go-live. I am confident that our relationship will yield positive impacts in how they serve their global workforce," said Glenn Pettigrew, general manager and division vice president of Comprehensive Outsourcing Services at ADP. "Our team has deployed a range of HR services that are providing Marriott Vacations Worldwide's HR leadership with new capabilities, data and actionable insights to further inform its human capital management strategy."
A 2012 study conducted by Sourcing Analytics Inc., titled "The Hidden Benefits of Human Resource Business Process Outsourcing," determined that of those reviewed, outsourcing to ADP in a BPO model not only lowered the client's cost of payroll administration, but by driving change throughout the organization, it also reduced the overall cost of HR transactional processing and management, as well as time and attendance reporting, by as much as 40 percent. Sourcing Analytics Inc. surveyed ADP's largest U.S.-based HR BPO clients (each with more than 1,000 employees) on their experiences with outsourcing business processes, including payroll, time and attendance, workforce administration and health and welfare benefits administration, to ADP.
