Adnan El Shukrijumah Is Not a Saudi Citizen

WASHINGTON, Dec. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia continues to correct the issue regarding the nationality of Adnan G. El Shukrijumah, who was reportedly killed this weekend by the Pakistani Army. Mr. El Shukrijumah was wanted by U.S. authorities on terrorism charges.

In March 2003, the Ministry of Interior announced that Mr. El Shukrijumah was not, and never has been, a Saudi citizen, as has been incorrectly reported.

His father, Gulshai El Shukrijumah, worked in Saudi Arabia for 27 years as an expatriate employee until 1986 when the family moved to the United States. He also did not have Saudi citizenship.
