AdMobilize and Verizon Form Strategic Partnership To Push the IoT Forward
With this partnership, Verizon will provide 3G connectivity for AdBeacon and co-sell the solution across the country
MIAMI, Sept. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- AdMobilize, an Internet of Things technology company that quantifies the physical world, announced today that it has formed a national strategic partnership with Verizon to connect the physical world of analytics to the online grid. AdMobilize and Verizon are working together to launch hundreds of AdBeacon activations in the next two months.
This partnership is significant for both Verizon and AdMobilize. Verizon's Internet of Things business grew 45 percent in 2014 and the carrier secured its place in the rapidly growing and competitive market. In May, Verizon announced the acquisition of AOL for $4.4 billion to "support and connect to Verizon's IoT (Internet of Things) platforms, creating a growth platform from wireless to IoT for consumers and businesses." Verizon is striving to establish itself as the most forward-thinking carrier dealing with the IOT, which led to the partnership with AdMobilize.
