Administration Official to Join St. Louis Workers and Small Businesses to Survey Recovery Act Progress, Job Creation at One-Year Mark
Administration Officials Visit over 35 Communities Nationwide to Call for Building on Recovery Act Success with Action on Additional Job Creation Measures
WASHINGTON, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As the Recovery Act crosses the one-year mark tomorrow, officials from the U.S. General Services Administration will join workers at St. Louis' Goodfellow Federal Center to survey Recovery Act progress to-date and continue the Administration's push for additional job creation measures to put more people back to work. Administration Officials will visit 35 communities across the country, participating in events that will be held in more than 25 states and feature Governors, Mayors and Members of Congress.
GSA is using Recovery Act funds to modernize St Louis' Goodfellow federal center, create jobs, and stimulate the economy. The event will be held inside Building 110 of the federal center, which is being converted into a high-performance green building by a team of Missouri small businesses. The Goodfellow modernization project is an active construction site and is one of more than 350 Recovery Act construction projects in Missouri, and one of the largest in the St. Louis area.
