Adela Cepeda Appointed to BMO Financial Corp. Board of Directors
CHICAGO, Aug. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BMO Financial Corp. announced today the appointment of Adela Cepeda, President of A.C. Advisory, Inc., to the BMO Financial Corp. Board of Directors. BMO Financial Corp. is the U.S. holding company for BMO Harris Bank N.A., and the Board of Directors provides governance and oversight for the bank as well as BMO Capital Markets and BMO Private Bank.

Cepeda founded A.C. Advisory, Inc., a full service, independent minority and woman owned financial advisory firm, ranked in the top ten nationally. The firm has assisted governments in raising over $100 billion in capital market financings since inception in 1995. Cepeda also serves on the boards of various mutual funds.
In previous roles, Cepeda has served as Managing Director and Co-founder of Abacus Financial Group, Inc., and as Vice President for the Corporate Finance Department at Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. Inc. She also served on the audit committee of Wyndham International, Inc. Cepeda served on the executive committee of the Chicago Community Trust and the board of the Public Building Commission. She currently serves on the boards of Windows to the World Communications, Inc., Ravinia Festival Association and the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard College, graduating Cum Laude, and later earned her MBA from the University of Chicago School of Business.
