Adecco Group North America Announces Annual 'CEO for One Month' Internship Experience
Competition for "the Internship of a Lifetime" - $10,000 Paid Opportunity to Work Alongside Chief Executive Officer Bob Crouch - Kicks Off
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Adecco Group North America, part of the world's leading provider of human resource solutions, today opened the application process for its annual "CEO for One Month" program. One talented, driven person will soon be awarded the internship of a lifetime and the opportunity to experience running a Fortune 500 company. Last year, the competitive program received over 2,400 applications, which was then narrowed down to six finalists, and ultimately one winner.
An intern selected from the pool of North American applicants will shadow CEO Bob Crouch and other Adecco Group North America leaders this June during a four-week internship that includes an impressive $10,000 salary. The program offers a unique opportunity for candidates to gain real life business experience and position themselves for success in their future careers.
"The value of internships to professional development cannot be overstated," said Bob Crouch, CEO of Adecco Group North America. "We're proud to launch the CEO for One Month application process for the third year and we're looking forward to receiving submissions from bright and talented students. I look forward to mentoring the winner of this program through a wide range of exciting opportunities including business assignments, nationwide travel and a first-hand look at how a Fortune 500 company with over 5,700 full-time employees and 117,000 temporary associates operates."
The CEO for One Month initiative is part of Adecco Group's global Way to Work™ program, which highlights issues and challenges facing the 73 million young people worldwide that are out of work while developing ways that this generation can be prepared for the workforce of the future.
"We designed the CEO for One Month program with one core belief in mind: talent development is crucial to prepare the next generation of business leaders for their careers," said Rich Thompson, Chief Human Resources Officer of Adecco Group North America. "Our approach is to pair the development of business skills with the exploration of various industries to ensure students graduate with the knowledge and resources employers in today's workforce demand."
Before one applicant will be awarded this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, six finalists will be selected to compete for the internship during a Boot Camp in Jacksonville, Florida from May 23-25. The days' activities will include competitive team-building exercises, education sessions and out-of-the-box assessments with a focus on Adecco Group's core values and leadership principles. The winner will begin his/her internship the following week.
Throughout the summer, similar programs will take place in 50 countries around the globe with the most successful interns being eligible to compete for a month long mentorship with Adecco Group's Global CEO, Alain Dehaze.
To apply for the internship and find additional information on the program and other resources, please visit the Way to Work™ website. Applications will be accepted through April 15.
