Arlington Self Storage opened last month but the physical structure housing the company was built in 1965. Prior tenants included a fence-building company, an ambulance company and a sprinkler system business, according to co-owner Gregg Santini.

The Santinis have resided in Arlington since the early 1900s. Their business presence was first marked by a construction firm, which opened in 1921. The family has supported a neighborhood Little League baseball team for 60 years.

"I am the fourth generation in the Santini family business," said Gregg, who runs Arlington Self Storage along with his brother, father, uncle and cousin. "I like working at Arlington Self Storage because I am able to meet people in the area that I wouldn't meet otherwise, and I find their stories interesting."
