Adam & Eve Continues Community Outreach and Donations

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Adam & Eve, the number one source for adult products, continued contributing to charity through the tough economic times. In 2009, Adam & Eve gave monetary donations to approximately 70 organizations or causes totaling more than $75,000. Contributions were given to major groups like the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association as well as many local entities like high schools, community groups, local social services, and animal rescues. In addition to financial contributions the employees donated their time and efforts for causes like Meals on Wheels, Orange County Social Services Angel Tree (holiday gift program) and Thanksgiving Food Drive, Blood Drives, and more!

A significant portion of the funds given by Adam & Eve were raised directly by employees via various fundraisers like bake sales, lunches, and silent auctions. Adam & Eve's corporate office matched employee contributions so that fundraiser amounts were doubled in the end!

In the fall of 2009, Adam & Eve was honored with an International Humanitarian Award at the adult Hot d'Or Awards in France. The company is ecstatic to be recognized for its efforts not only in its own community, for which its reputation shines, but across the globe!

Adam & Eve is starting 2010 fundraising in full-force with an internal bake sale to benefit victims of the recent Haiti earthquake. Proceeds raised will be matched by the company and sent to the William J. Clinton Foundation, which is acting as a benefactor for Haiti in the tragic aftermath.
