HILLSBOROUGH, N.C., Dec. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Adam & Eve (www.adamandeve.com), America's most trusted source for adult products, has completed its 30,000 square foot warehouse expansion at its corporate headquarters in Hillsborough, North Carolina.
The expansion, which took nearly two years to complete, was necessary in order to increase product offerings and keep more inventory on hand to better serve customers. The original warehouse was just over 56,000 square feet.
Since moving from Carrboro to Hillsborough in 1994, Adam & Eve has enjoyed numerous milestones, including being named "Business of the Year" by the Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce in 2005.
"We are thrilled by the continued growth of our company," said Adam & Eve President David Groves. "Adam & Eve has gone from a condoms-by-mail business to the number one adult retailer in America. Along the way, we've seen the creation – and replacement – of BetaMax cassettes, VHS tapes and more. We're proud to continue to be at the forefront of change in the industry."
To celebrate the warehouse expansion, the company held a ribbon cutting ceremony and luncheon on Wednesday, November 12, in the new facility. Adam & Eve Founder Phil Harvey, and Hillsborough Mayor Tom Stevens both spoke at the event and officially opened the warehouse for use.
