(OTC Bulletin Board: ADSY), a leading service provider of digital media and video communications for all major cable TV networks, announces that it has completed the development of an in-house MPEG decoder, a fundamental building block for its proprietary, patent-pending cable TV ad insertion systems. Ad Systems was previously purchasing this technology from outside vendors whose business emphases were not necessarily compatible with the strategic goals of the Company. By developing its own technology any sourcing risk has thereby been negated.
"The new MPEG decoding technology we have developed lets us roll out new systems at a much lower cost per unit basis than before with a direct result on net profits. In addition, we are no longer reliant on third party vendors," says Martin Alcock, Chief Technology Officer for the Company. "In addition our policy of technology ownership has enabled us to move forward with our business plan more aggressively than our competition," he adds.
