Ad Council President & CEO Lisa Sherman to be Honored as a 2016 Responsible 100 by City & State
NEW YORK, Dec. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Lisa Sherman, Ad Council President & CEO, was named to the 2016 Responsible 100 List by City & State. This honor is given to New York's most outstanding corporate citizens in recognition of personal and professional philanthropic contributions. The award was announced today at the City and State annual luncheon at Hebrew Union College in New York City.
As President and CEO of the Ad Council, Lisa leads more than 40 impactful and innovative public service campaigns including Smokey Bear, 'A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste' and the recent viral phenomenon 'Love Has No Labels.' In this position, Lisa leverages her extensive experience in leading national communications programs with her strong passion for social causes. She works with the advertising, media and corporate sectors to develop cross-platform content that saves and improves lives.
Lisa Sherman has been championing social causes and social impact throughout her career. Previously with Viacom, Lisa launched LogoTV, the leading entertainment networked aimed at the LBGT community. She has also served as EVP at Hill, Holliday Connors, Cosmopulos, and held a number of executive and senior level marketing, advertising and operating positions at Verizon Communications. Lisa currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of God's Love We Deliver and on the Advisory Board of TMI, the consulting arm of DoSomething.org.
The City & State luncheon, featuring keynote speaker NYC Comptroller Scott Stringer, included the release of a special commemorative publication featuring profiles of each honoree.
