TORRANCE, Calif. , Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Acura posted August sales of 9,054, a decrease of 24.5 percent compared to August 2010, based on the daily selling rate*. Year-to-date sales totaled 79,136 units, down 8.1 percent versus last year.

“August marked a return to normal production levels for most of our models,” said Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales. “We remain optimistic for a resilient year as Acura dealerships rebuild their inventory to meet our customer’s needs.”
The MDX continues as Acura’s sales leader with 3,126 units sold. TL reported 2,404 sales for the month and TSX 2,263 units, down 19.8 and 10 percent respectively.
