Acuo Technologies Grows European Business and Achieves Successful Connectathon Results in Bern, Switzerland
Vendor Neutral Archive Technology Gains Traction in the Global Healthcare Marketplace
BLOOMINGTON, Minn., June 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Acuo Technologies®, the world leader in high-performance software and services for clinical content management and data migration, announced today significant growth during fiscal year 2012. Acuo's strategic investments in building its business and brand within Europe in 2011 are producing results in 2012 and beyond.
Acuo has achieved a number of commitments from UK and broader European tenders which, when fully implemented, will see the company's Universal Clinical Platform (UCP) serving as the foundation for clinical content management and delivery at more than 75 hospitals throughout Europe. As a result of this growth, the company has added and will continue to add key personnel within the region to drive new sales, perform implementations and provide operational oversight to support Acuo's expanding European customer base.
Acuo is also pleased to be named a finalist in a number of other opportunities which would accelerate growth and enlarge the company's footprint in the region. "I am pleased to see continued market acceptance and unprecedented growth of Acuo's market share in Europe," said Jeff Timbrook, CEO of Acuo Technologies. "2012 promises to be an extraordinary year for us in several key geographies, boosting Acuo's global adoption and its ability to serve healthcare providers in any marketplace as we approach 2013. Acuo is committed to continued growth in sales and product innovation in serving the worldwide market for enterprise VNA technology."
With the company's recent European business expansion, it became important to integrate with IT vendors at the 2012 European Connectathon held in Bern, Switzerland. This project was similar to integrations performed with IHE profiles implementers at the North-American Connectathon, which took place in Chicago during January 2012.
Acuo is pleased to announce that its Universal Clinical Platform (UCP) product suite successfully passed all integration tests at the European Connectathon for the XDS.b Registry and Repository profiles, as well as Document Subscribe (DSUB). Through fully-integrated XDS and XDS-I support, UCP provides the capability to manage all types of non-DICOM content through a standards-based architecture. UCP includes an embedded XDS registry and repository, offering IHE-based foundation components for HIEs.
