Co-founded in 2008 by actress and avid surfer Tanna Frederick and world champion surfer Shaun Tomson, the Santa Monica based non-profit organization is dedicated to the clean-up of the world's tainted waters.
The celebration raised much needed funds for Project Save Our Surf's water filter mission in Vietnam where Ms. Frederick and PSOS volunteers will deliver and install water filters in several remote villages in February 2014. Each filter can provide 100 people with clean water per day and can last for many years providing roughly one million gallons of fresh water.
The evening featured gourmet catering by Venice hot spot Gjelina restaurant, specialty cocktails by Brakeman Brewery and special R&B performances featuring Day-vid Fitzpatrick, Lady CoCo & Avery Scott from Rhythm In Black band, along with vocalist Janice Zeno. Pop sensation Forrest Lipton also performed.
