ActiveVideo Networks Names Brian Sereda as CFO

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ActiveVideo Networks™, creators of CloudTV™, the cloud-based app platform, today announced that Brian Sereda has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer.

Sereda, who has more than two decades of financial management experience in Silicon Valley, brings to ActiveVideo a diverse portfolio of experience in the technology industry.  Most recently he was vice president of finance and CFO of Virage Logic, seeing it through to a successful acquisition by Synopsys.  Additionally, Sereda has held senior financial roles in such market areas as software, semiconductors, networking equipment and CE devices.

Prior to his tenure with Virage Logic, Sereda had spent two years as CFO and Treasurer at Proxim Wireless.  Sereda also served as vice president of finance and corporate controller for Portal Software, and has held senior financial management positions with Credence Systems Corp., Handspring Inc., Sygen International, and Lam Research.

Sereda holds an MBA from St. Mary's College of California, a BSBA from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia, and a Diploma of Technology in Petroleum Engineering from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver.
