ActiFi CEO Named One of Financial Services Industry's Most Influential
Investment Advisor magazine names Plymouth, MN-based software and solutions company founder, Spenser Segal, one of the top 25 'Most Influential' People in the U.S. Financial Advisor Community
PLYMOUTH, Minn., April 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Investment Advisor magazine, the leading publication for independent advisors and financial planners, announced that ActiFi, Inc. founder and CEO Spenser Segal has been named to the 9th annual IA 25 - the 25 people having the most influence on the advisor community. Investment Advisor's editors selected the 25 for the impact they have had and will continue to have on investing, practice management, technology and the regulatory universe in which financial advisors operate.
"When selecting the IA 25, one of the criteria we look for are individuals who are transforming the financial services industry," commented Investment Advisor's group editor-in-chief, James J. Green. "It would be hard to argue with the choice of Spenser Segal as one of the most influential persons in the professional lives of advisors. What Spenser and ActiFi have done is to give advisors the insight and tools to turn their advisory practices into more efficient, effective, and profitable businesses. That's good for independent advisors, but it's also good for their clients as advisors can spend more time determining client goals and helping clients achieve those goals both now and in the future."
Founded in 2003, ActiFi is considered the world leader in developing scalable practice management software for the financial services industry. The firm's core product, Roadmap, is a customizable and configurable online program that systematizes advisor productivity and business growth, with full accountability reporting and benchmark financial analysis at both the advisor and enterprise level. The financial industry's top enterprise and advisory firms make use of ActiFi's software, consulting services, industry research, and training programs.
"This came as a big surprise and the honor truly belongs to all of our employees, board members, and most important our clients," said Segal. "To be on the same list with two of our clients plus SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro, Rep. Spencer Bachus, Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, and Sen. Tim Johnson, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, is quite humbling."
Prior to founding ActiFi, Segal was Vice President of e-Commerce Strategy and Development for American Express Financial Advisors. He also held management positions at Dain Rauscher, Barrington Capital Management, and BigCharts. Segal lives in Plymouth, MN with his wife and three children and donates his time to numerous non-profit organizations.
