MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Actel Corporation (Nasdaq: ACTL) today announced it will exhibit at the 2010 Hardened Electronics and Radiation Technology (HEART) Conference. HEART's major topics this year include radiation effects on systems and components, nuclear and space radiation effects, radiation hardening, design and processing techniques, among others. HEART offers a technical program with presentations, invited talks and industrial exhibits. Oral presentation topics include radiation environments and effects on components, subsystems and systems, as well as all associated analyses and testing that enable a system to perform in radiation environments.
At this year's show, Actel will highlight its industry-leading RTAX-DSP FPGAs and RT ProASIC®3 FPGAs. Actel's RTAX-DSP FPGAs provide a flexible alternative to ASICs for the integration of complex DSP functions. In addition, its nonvolatile, radiation-tolerant (RT) programming technology has no requirement for external code-storage devices and requires no mitigation of upsets in its configuration memory, unlike SRAM-based FPGAs. Actel's RT ProASIC3 FPGAs are the first devices to offer designers of space-flight hardware a radiation-tolerant, reprogrammable, nonvolatile logic integration vehicle. Both device families offer designers of space applications superior advantages due to their high reliability and radiation tolerance.
