Acrisure Names Adam Reed General Counsel

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Jan. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Acrisure, LLC today announced that Adam C. Reed has been named as Acrisure's General Counsel, effective January 1, 2017.  He succeeds John P. Iacono, who will retire later this year.  Reed joined Acrisure in September of 2016.

Reed, 45, brings over 23 years of insurance industry experience to his new role.  Most recently, he was General Counsel of American International Group, Inc.'s (AIG) Personal Insurance business.  In this capacity, he was responsible for the overall lawyering of a multi-billion dollar business with significant operations throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia.  Prior to that, Reed served as the chief regulatory lawyer for AIG's U.S. operations, and as the head lawyer for several of its U.S. business units. Earlier in his career, Reed served as an Associate in Winston & Strawn LLP's Corporate Practice.

Reed holds a bachelor's degree, cum laude, in Philosophy and Law & Society from Binghamton University, and a law degree from Fordham University School of Law, where he was a student in the Evening Division.  He has also obtained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI) designations.

Reed, his wife, and their four children have relocated to Grand Rapids.
