Acoustical Society of America names Susan E. Fox as its next Executive Director
MELVILLE, N.Y., Oct. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Susan E. Fox has been selected to be the next Executive Director of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA). She begins her service with the ASA as Executive Director-designate on 1 November and will assume the title of Executive Director on January 1, 2014.

Susan Fox recently served as the Executive Director of the Arctic Research Consortium of the U. S. (ARCUS). Her earlier positions included Vice President of the Forbes Group, Executive Director of the American Association of Law Libraries, Executive Director of the Society of American Archivists, and positions at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War.
Susan Fox received a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Boston University in 1976 and a Master of Science in Public Affairs in 1992 from the McCormick Graduate School for Public Affairs at the University of Massachusetts. She is a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives.
James H. Miller, President of the ASA, noted Ms. Fox's significant experience as an executive director.
