ACME AtronOmatic Releases MyRadar 3.0 with User-contributed Weather Photos
ORLANDO, Fla., April 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ACME AtronOmatic, a software development company based out of Orlando, Florida, has released an update to its wildly popular iPhone & iPad application called MyRadar. The application, available on the iTunes App store for iPhone and iPad, provides real-time, animated weather radar specific to the user's immediate area – as well as temperatures throughout the US.

The new major release now includes the ability for user-contributed weather photo uploads. Users of the app can snap pictures of weather happening in their area and upload it to the MyRadar servers, where the photo is then displayed on the map for other users around the country to see and "like".
"We've already seen some stunning weather photos from around the country," said Andy Green, CEO of ACME AtronOmatic. "The photo feature is a great way for users to get a quick snapshot of what the weather is like in other parts of the nation... it's especially fascinating with some of the crazier weather that happens from time to time."
In addition to the weather photo feature, the app has been overhauled to make the map usage even faster than before, along with a slick, new UI. The company has also begun testing its Hi-Definition radar product, which yields a far greater resolution on the weather radar data, especially when viewing the map zoomed-in and up-close.
MyRadar is also available for Android, Windows Phone, and Windows 8. While the other platforms do not yet include the weather photos feature, they all feature a Severe Weather alert add-on, perfect for helping users stay on top of severe weather in their area – particularly of interest to residents in the Midwest. Another upgrade available on all platforms is the Hurricane Tracker, perfect for tracking the storms as the season looms near.
The basic MyRadar weather application is free of charge, available now on the iTunes App store, Google Play, the Windows 8 Store and the Windows Phone Marketplace.
