ACell Announces Participation in 2018 Symposium on Advanced Wound Care Fall
Research and Symposiums will Highlight Successful Use of Cytal and MicroMatrix in Pressure Injuries, Traumatic Injuries, and other Complex Wounds
COLUMBIA, Md., Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- ACell, Inc. today announced their participation in the 2018 Symposium on Advanced Wound Care Fall conference being held November 2-4 in Las Vegas, NV.
ACell will sponsor a symposium, "An Interdisciplinary Approach to Pressure Injury Care: How Science, Patient Engagement, and Clinical Practices can Enhance Cost-Effective Outcomes," on Sunday, November 4 at 7:30 AM. A cross-functional panel of industry experts will discuss the evolving management of pressure injuries, including pressure injury staging, wound bed preparation, clinical practices, and economic considerations. The science underlying Cytal® and MicroMatrix® devices will also be discussed.
ACell will be located on the exhibit floor at booth #341. Hands-on product demonstrations and additional product information will be available for ACell's wound care product lines including Cytal Wound Matrix, MicroMatrix, Gentrix® Incisional, Xpansion®, and ABRA® Surgical.
Several posters will report on clinical and pre-clinical data regarding ACell's devices in the management of a wide variety of wounds. These research posters will include:
- A Single Site Randomized Clinical Trial Comparing the Concomitant Use of Two Urinary Bladder Matrix Devices to Standard of Care in Patients With Stage 3 or 4 Pressure Injuries: An Interim Analysis
- A Comparison of the Composition and In Vitro Macrophage Response between Placental Tissue Particulate and Urinary Bladder Matrix Particulate
- Pre-Clinical Assessment of UBM Products in a Porcine Model of Wound Healing
