ACEDS announces nominations are open for annual awards honoring eDiscovery professionals
Winners to be announced at seventh annual ACEDS eDiscovery Conference in New York City
MIAMI, Jan. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists (ACEDS), today announced that nominations are open for the annual ACEDS Awards, a recognition of outstanding individual and organizational achievements and efforts in the eDiscovery community. Winners will be announced at the seventh annual ACEDS eDiscovery Conference which will be held April 18-20, 2016 in New York City.
From now through Feb. 14, eDiscovery professionals are invited to nominate their colleagues and fellow associations for excellence in the field. Awards will be given in ten categories to ACEDS members and others nominated by their peers as pioneers and innovators in the eDiscovery industry, or who have otherwise shown special dedication to advancing the profession.
The 2015 ACEDS award winners included individuals and ACEDS chapters from across the country: Robin Thompson, CEDS; Janice Jaco, CEDS; Chris Dix, CEDS; Suzanne Clark, CEDS; Robert Hilson, Nancy Regula, CEDS; Evan Benjamin, CEDS; Bill Speros; Helen Bergman-Moure, CEDS and the ACEDS Jacksonville Chapter.
The 2016 awards will include four new award categories including Corporate eDiscovery Department of the Year, Law Firm eDiscovery Department of the Year, Service Provider of the Year and Salesperson of the Year.
Winners will be announced at the ACEDS Awards luncheon, Wednesday April 20, marking the culmination of the conference.
"The eDiscovery field is filled with exceptional professionals from across the country and throughout the legal community," said Mary Mack, ACEDS executive director. "The awards are an opportunity to shine the light on some of these individuals and we're pleased to honor them at our conference in the presence of so many colleagues."
The ACEDS conference brings together hundreds of eDiscovery professionals along with top judges, industry leaders and vendors to explore and collaborate on trending eDiscovery topics. The 2016 conference will feature more than 30 eDiscovery expert speakers as well as panels discussing the latest eDiscovery trends. It is aimed at meeting the needs of all eDiscovery professionals from newly certified to experienced practitioners. Sessions will include the latest in eDiscovery issues and practices as well as special sessions on employment, career advancement and emerging adjacent opportunities for technical legal people.
