AccuWeather Launches Updated Award-Winning App for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Cross-platform technology includes unique, hyper-local AccuWeather MinuteCast for all iOS device users

All AccuWeather App users now have instant access to AccuWeather MinuteCast®, the only global minute-by-minute precipitation forecast for a person's exact street address or GPS location, across their iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. AccuWeather MinuteCast was first introduced to users of the AccuWeather for iPhone and iPod touch app in 2014, and with this newest app update, the popular forecast only available from AccuWeather is now also available to iPad AccuWeather App users.

In addition to MinuteCast and the universal app functionality, the AccuWeather App provides severe weather notices, weather animations illustrating the weather forecast for right now, each of the next 72 hours, and each of the next 15 days, and animated weather radar and maps for tracking the storm's path. The weather radar is currently available for the United States, Canada, Northern Europe, and Japan. Other popular features include the Local Forecast Summary, a brief summary of what users can expect from the weather over the next 3-5 days, and widgets. The widgets provide a summary of what users can expect from today's weather and are easily accessible from the Today screen through the device's Notification Center.
AccuWeather MinuteCast includes precipitation type and intensity, as well as start and end times for precipitation. It gives users by-the-minute precipitation forecasts for the next two hours, set for their exact street or GPS location, with the Superior Accuracy™ that is AccuWeather's hallmark.
