VERONA, Va., March 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- AccuTEC Blades, Inc. announces its participation at the 74th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology to be held in Washington, DC. DermaBlade, a revolutionary shave biopsy instrument and DermaGard, a preoperative hair removal prep razor, especially useful for sensitive skin, will be featured.
"DermaBlade is a shave biopsy instrument developed by a dermatologist for dermatologists," says Lane West, National Sales Manager. "Dr. Robert Segal developed a way to safely perform shave biopsies that would allow easy pickup from the surgical tray, provide flexibility, and allow better control."
In addition, AccuTEC will demonstrate the DermaGard Safety Prep Razor—the ideal solution for sensitive skins. "When the skin is scratched or even cut during the hair removal process, the exposed tissue is at a risk for contamination," says Pam Hoffman, Regional Manager. The DermaGard utilizes a "wrapped blade," which keeps the blade from coming in direct contact with the skin. This prevents the blade from nicking and scratching the skin which eliminates micro-abrasions. The blade of a DermaGard never touches the skin. That means no more nicks and cuts – "a real breakthrough in blade technology," says Hoffman.
Demonstrations for DermaBlade and DermaGard will be held throughout the show at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, March 4 – 8.
