The ranking evaluates the results of four rankings: U.S. News and World Report, Public Accounting Report, Brigham Young University (research rankings), and TaxTalent. Also, it considers whether or not a school has earned accounting accreditation from AACSB.
Because the four rankings and the AACSB accreditation have different methods for determining school quality, the Accounting Degree Review ranking provides a well-rounded look at the education leaders in the graduate accounting space.
"In the accounting field, students with graduate degrees from top schools tend to have much better job prospects than students with only undergraduate degrees," said Dee Barizo, lead editor of the ranking. "Also, CPAs generally have excellent job security and we found the schools in our ranking are very good at preparing students to pass the prestigious accounting certification."
