HOUSTON, Aug. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Acclaim Energy Advisors, a full service provider of energy management solutions for commercial, industrial, healthcare and governmental consumers announced that industry veteran and risk management expert Alberto Rios was recently appointed as the Houston-based company's Director of Energy Risk Management.

Elder adds that Rios will be responsible for managing client energy risk exposure, providing advice and executing heat rate and natural gas hedges for electricity and natural gas transactions for clients across North America.  Rios previously served in a similar risk management role with RBS Sempra Commodities.  Alberto holds degrees of BS in Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Mexico and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business.
