Acclaim Energy Hires Ken Cowan as Vice President to Lead Education and Public Sector

HOUSTON, May 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Acclaim Energy Advisors is a full service provider of energy management solutions to commercial, industrial, healthcare and governmental consumers.  Due to company growth, Acclaim has enlisted Ken Cowan to lead education and public sector business development.

Cowan served as Vice President of the West Public Sector at Constellation New Energy prior to joining Acclaim Energy.  There he was in charge of negotiations and deal structuring for retail natural gas and electric power solutions.  Ken also worked on demand response for government entities in deregulated markets located in the western half of the U.S.

Ken excels in wholesale trading, complex gas and power negotiations, and the structuring of energy solutions that positively impacts the client's bottom line.  This was his area of focus at Dynegy, Inc. during his ten years prior to joining Constellation New Energy. 

Community service is also important to Cowan.  He holds board positions with the Ensemble Theater and the Houston Education and Charities Foundation.  He is a graduate of Leadership Houston Class XXV.

He earned his MBA at the University of St. Thomas, Houston, TX.  His Business Administration degree was received from the University of Nebraska - Omaha.
