NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Acceptance Insurance contributed to 98 KUPD's "Troop Transport" campaign to provide 2,000 bus passes to veterans in the greater Phoenix area in conjunction with the Maricopa County StandDown Alliance. Acceptance matched dollar-for-dollar the funds raised by the station during the month of January. Veterans will be able to use the bus passes throughout the year to get them to work, school, the VA and anywhere else they may need to go.
"As an Army veteran myself, being able to provide this transportation means a great deal," said Chief Insurance Officer Juliet Diiorio. "We are so proud to be able to support this event which provides basic need items, in addition to the bus passes, to Phoenix's veterans. Acceptance is always looking for the most meaningful ways in which we can give back to our communities. Helping our veterans is just one way we are excited to contribute."
Targeting veterans experiencing or at-risk of homelessness, the Maricopa County StandDown is Arizona's largest veterans outreach event. Acceptance thanks the Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance and 98 KUPD for the opportunity to give back to the men and women who have served our country. Acceptance proudly supports veterans in the communities in which it operates and serves.
