NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second year in a row, Acceptance Insurance co-sponsored the Warm Coats from Warm Hearts program in Nashville. The Church of Christ in Green Hills (formerly Granny White Church of Christ) started the program in 1998 as a way to provide coats to those in need during the harsh winter months. More than 75,000 coats have been given away since the program began. Over 3,500 coats were distributed on Saturday, November 10, 2018, to over 600 families.
Acceptance Insurance local and corporate offices in Nashville and surrounding cities collected over 200 coats in six weeks. Acceptance customers, team members, and the general public were encouraged to donate new or gently-used coats.
"It's a big need, and this is something that draws in donations from all over Nashville," said SVP of Insurance Operations Juliet DiIorio. "We are always looking for ways to give back to our local communities, and the Warm Coats from Warm Hearts program allows us to do just that. This cause means so much to us as we are able to directly help our neighbors in our hometown."
Priding itself on protecting what matters and giving its customers peace of mind, Acceptance Insurance thanks WSMV News4 for the opportunity to again participate in the much-needed Warm Coats from Warm Hearts program. Acceptance Insurance has ten offices in Middle Tennessee and is headquartered in Nashville.
