AccentHealth Announces New Leadership for its Medical Advisory Board

NEW YORK, April 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AccentHealth, America's leading patient education media company at the point-of-care, today announced leadership changes to its Medical Advisory Board.  The board plays a key role in advising AccentHealth on its patient education content, and is responsible for reviewing all programming and promotional messages broadcast on AccentHealth's network.  The board also provides insights and recommendations on topics to be covered on the network to ensure the programming provides the most relevant patient education for waiting room visitors.

Dr. James Brownlee, former Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, who is presently the Medical Director of Monsour Executive Wellness Center, has been appointed Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board.  Dr. Brownlee has served as a member of the board for more than 15 years and succeeds Dr. Philip Adler, who chaired the board since its inception in 1997.  In recognition of his years of service to AccentHealth, Dr. Adler has been appointed to the new position of Chairman Emeritus of the Medical Advisory Board. 

Dr. Dalys Gilling, a practicing pediatrician at Health Point Medical Group in Tampa, FL has also joined the Medical Advisory Board.  She will take the lead in advising AccentHealth on content for its growing Pediatric Network, which now reaches a total of 5,275 doctor office locations.
