Acceller Reaches New Highs at Summit Conference
Acceller's 2011 Summit conference successfully brought together leaders in the consumer communications and digital entertainment industries
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., April 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sales and marketing executives from the top firms in the digital services and entertainment sectors attended the 2011 Summit conference hosted by Acceller, Inc., this past week in Colorado Springs. The highlight of the gathering was an inspirational discussion led by Lt. Col. (R) Tom DiTomasso, Vice President of Ground Operations at Fulcrum Concepts, who shared stories of his personal experience as a Silver Star-winning Task Force Army Ranger during the Battle of Mogadishu in 1993, as depicted in the book and movie, "Black Hawk Down."
DiTomasso, who won the Silver Star for his heroics, explained to leaders from corporations like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon how the lessons he learned on the battlefield about preparation and teamwork translated to the business world and team dynamics. While discussing basic strategies on how to manage and motivate people, he pounded home several concepts, including, "When in charge, be in charge," and "Do the basics well all the time."
The two-day event's theme was "Reach the Peak," and it centered on the subject of reaching the next level of performance in management. Those in attendance, including vice-presidents and other high-level executives, networked with Acceller's leadership teams and got a guided tour of the U.S. Olympic Training facility, where they interacted with many athletes in training for the 2012 London Games. The athletes discussed dedication and motivation and how their own personal training helped their team as a whole.
Acceller hosted several expert speakers to share their knowledge of topics ranging from sales and marketing to operations and industry research. Ziad Khoury, founder and president of the Frontline Performance Group, spoke about innovative yet practical techniques for achieving optimal contact center sales performance. Other featured speakers included Bruce Leichtman, President and Principal Analyst at LRG Research; Michael Pranikoff, Director of Emerging Markets for PR Newswire; Dave Chase, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for WhatCounts; and Acceller's own CMO, David Atkins, who spoke about some of the marketing principles behind Acceller's consumer-friendly deal sites including AuthorizedOffers.com and a CenturyLink deal finder at CenturyLinkAuthorizedOffers.com
Acceller's experience with their innovative comparison service for deals on TV, Internet and phone at DigitalLanding.com helped set the theme of the forum. The historic Broadmoor Resort was the location for the event.
